
OUR MEDICARE PROCESS
Due to the recent changes to the Chronic Condition Management Plans we are introducing a new process here at Sharpe’s Physio.
Due to the recent changes to the Chronic Condition Management Plans we are introducing a new process here at Sharpe’s Physio.

You will need to have been issued by your GP a Chronic Condition Management Plan for 2025.

When you are attending your Management Plan appointment with our Physios you will now make an EFTPOS payment of the current rebate of $61.80 on a debit card, our reception staff will then pop your claim through on our HICAPS machine to Medicare and you will receive the $61.80 straight back from Medicare onto your debit card.

The Management Plans still have a maximum number of appointments that you can use across all Allied Health Providers for example Osteopath, Dietitian and Physios for the current year.

Unfortunately, due to the new changes we as Allied Health Care providers have no way of tracking your appointments used or available. This is something you can track yourself on your Medicare App. To find out more about this you would need to contact Medicare.

If you have reached your appointment limit for your Management Plan for the current year you won’t receive the rebate, so it’s important that you keep track of your appointments.
